You scream silence is violence
then throw sticks and stones
Crying for peace and acceptance
tying nooses with rope
Inciting riots for freedom
they fill the streets with smoke
You think you're sending a message
but they're destroying hope

Now that the madness grips our throats
we understand we never have control
and any chance to build and grow we let indifference
throw it to the wolves
All this bitching and moaning
all this fighting torn us apart
and we're too prideful and selfish
to repair these broken hearts

So focused on your own skin
so quick to sell your soul
Begging for all the attention
daddy never showed
Selling your self-worth, an image
leaving a pride less shell
You've become so plastic
and everyone can tell

I can see you've tried so hard
to fill the void life, left behind
You keep that smile stretched so wide
but there's no life left behind those eyes
You dance, you grind
you give yourself to the night
No matter how hard you try
this will never lead to light

We're all selfish liars
driven by selfish goals
We gladly steal, and sever the heels
of all potential obstructions
You say you're woke, but you're just blowing smoke
to vail your honest intentions
In truth we all want violence and doom
to send the world into madness

Did you ever find peace with your picket signs?
Did chaos in the streets change their wicked minds?
Did you think you find comfort in lying around?
Did selling off your flesh earn your princess crown?
